| Rim Recomendation | xcmntgeek Feb 1, 2004 3:05 PM | | What rim would you recomend... I'm building up a wheelset and I already have the hubs, 28 hole DA. So, I need a 28 hole, tubular, rim suitable for mass start crits, rr, and the crashes that go along with. I haven't had very good luck with the reflex's. |

| re: Rim Recomendation | xcmntgeek Feb 4, 2004 5:01 AM | | I ride like a stupid jr. and subsequently crash a lot. I've folded two of them. It's not that I can't handle my bike, I just choose to take a lot of risks. I already have a lightweight pair of AMclassics so now I'm looking for a rim that will suit me better in rough and tumble crits. |

Try velocityusa.com check out their rims. Aero or Fusion clinchers would probably be good, and if you want an even stouter, try Deep V. Never had a direct experience with any of the rims, but judging from what folks say about velocity, they are very nice rims overall.

| in a way you did | Woof the dog Feb 4, 2004 10:06 PM | | say that you wanted it to be light. You wanted a tubular, but whats the point? Weight savings are negligible if you want a strong wheel, plus these days clinchers are really nice and light and ride the same as tubies (i know).
