| My Cane Creek IS headset | trek5900cyclist Jan 28, 2004 6:29 PM | | there is a tiny gap between the headest cap and the top of the tube on my Trek 2300. I never noticed it before. Is is okay? It is less than a milimeter wide. |
| Should be fine | bikefreax Jan 29, 2004 5:28 AM | | I purchased a new fram and it came with a Cane creek headset. I had to put it in so I called them about all the parts. It comes with s small shims that are designed to raise the cap off the frame. This is so the cap does not rub on the top of the headtube. I hope this is what you are talking about. |

A millimeter is a lot for a headset. Is it worth the risk just save a little cash to get it put right? |
