RAM and STI shiftersboat

Has anyone ever seen anybody using a RAM handlebar with STI shifters? I wonder how it looks and why people are only using RAM with Campy.
I use it just fine.spookyload

It looks like any other internally routed cable handlebar. The bar is ungodly expensive is why more people don't use it. The only thing I can surmise is that people willing to pay extra for campy are more likely to pay more for the RAM. Here is a picture of mine.

Do you wear gloves?Dave Hickey

I've been thinking about a Ram but I don't wear gloves. How comfortable is it riding on the tops?

The flat profile of the tops dont make it uncomfortable. The only time I do wear gloves is in the winter for cold, during rain for grip as the bare carbon can get slippery, and when I ride my tubies so I can clean the tires of road debris and save me gluing another tire on. I don't need them normally for padding though.

Nice bike. By the way, what kind of bike stand is that? And where did you purchase it?
It is called a quickstandspookyload

I picked it up at the LBS for $15. It isn't strong enough to put any force on like a true workstand, but it is great for lubing the chain or cleaning a bike. I also take it with me when I am going to a century. Beats leaning the bike against the car for sure.

Stella Azzurra Eleganza tape?CritLover

How do you like it? I just bought some, not on the bike yet, but was surprised by the feeling it had. Not like any tape I've tried. Is it comfortable without gloves, or is it kinda weird(sorry, don't know how else to describe it? What about the the embroidery, is it holding up?

Thanks
Its holding up in the winterspookyload

It is doing just fine right now. The white thread that runs through it is probably going to look aweful come july with sweat and dirt though. I like the feel of it. It has a slightly tacky feeling to the touch. The only grip I had was wrapping with it. It doesn't like to lay flat like faux cork tapes do. Just took a little more work to wrap it, but it came out OK.

I have had some on my bike for 600 miles and its holding up fine. I love the feel of it and unique look. The tape I have is blue so its getting dingy where I keep my hands, but all non-black tape does that. The stitching doess look like it could eventually begin to fray.

I'm thinking of buying the Ran Bar. What do you think of it. I've heard that some find it a little bit to flexy. Is that your experience? My weight is 172lbs (80kilos)
