|I currently am using the Shimano R211 (4 Years) and love them. However they are not compatible with the Shimano DA SL pedals that I want to get and they're getting a bit old. I tried on the new R215 and they fit too wide and not like the "glove-like" R211. What would be a good, lightweight snug fitting alternative for me? Nike Poggio 2, Sidi Ergo, Northwave Aerator, DMT RSX, any others? Your advice would be much appreciated.|

|I have Sidis and DMT. My favorite shoe is the DMT Ultimax Carbon. Great fit, light weight. Only negative is they do not have a replaceable heel tab, but your local shoe shop should be able to put a pad over it so it doesn't wear out prematurely.|

|I have 3 pair of the first version of the Poggios. Like them lots, you can get them for cheap, and they're WAY light and stiff at the same time.
I've owned Sidis. Nice shoes too.
DMTs look nice, but I haven't owned any so I'll refrain from speculating any further.
Ultimately, buy the shoes that fit your feet. If its the Poggios, great. DMTs great. New Shimanos great.
Just out of curiosity: there isn't the 3-bolt Look pattern on your older Shimano shoes? That's what the SPD-SLs bolt pattern is... I haven't paid attention to Shimano road shoes in a while.

|Then again, if any company would make a shoe without a 3 hole drilling, it would be Shimano.|| |
