FSA Orbit UF and Woodman headsetsboneman

Anybody use these in 1" threadless? Needle bearings in the bottom and regular balls up top. I tried to get an Orbit X but thye're no longer available in the UK. Also, anyone using the Woodman headset? I also see that they make one which will take a 1.125" steerer in a headtube made for 1".

it seems I am to answer all your FSA headset questions
I have UF 1" (2.5 years) and though it isn't as smooth as Orbit X I love it for serviceability.

BTW if you wanna get Orbit X get it from Chuck at www.chucksbikes.com, here's your URL http://www.chucksbikes.com/store/hs0090.htm, you need 26.4 crown (unless you own Japanese made bike)

for 20$ (15euro?) it's worth shipping over the pond. I'd bet Chuck can be persuaded to mail it, shoot him email.
Thanks for thatboneman

Yeah, appears you are the FSA headset source. Chris King's go for £120 or so plus I'd probably buy the installation tooling which drops $60 or so on top, hence the search for something else. I've got a couple of King's and have used both the Chorus and Record threadless. Nothing wrong with any of them but just wanted something different and the FSA's looked good.

Thanks for the URL. Shipping's not the problem. Import duty is added on and then they take the sum and charge VAT at 17.5%. The Numbers start getting rather unattractive and enforcement, unlike the States is fairly consistent.

I had shipped similar size part 1/2lbs to Switzerland a couple years back, it was ~7$ for economy by USPS.

20$ is 15.74 euro or 10.85 pounds. I don't think they charge VAT on shipping, do they? and what is the duty on headsets, b/c with VAT you're only looking at 12.75 pounds.

I've ordered parts for my Triumph from GB, wasn't too bad

Got home and emailed them. No problem was the answer so it's in process. Yeah, at the end of the day the cheapest I've seen the X for is £52 so how bad can it be?

Not only that, Wiggle told me that I had to wait 2 weeks for the UF. I'll let you know how it shapes up in the end.

Thanks and regards.
