Using Dura Ace 10sp with FSA Cranks, and DA9spbluebiker

In case anyone had any concerns on compatability. I'm using the Dura Ace 10spd shifter/cassette/chain with a FSA Compact crank, and 9spd rear derailleur. This combo works perfect, shifts perfect front and back. I'm using the 10spd front derailleur only because the spring location worked better with my frame, the 9sp would've worked just fine otherwise. I couldn't see spending the extra $115 for the 10sp rear deraileur when the 9spd worked.
Dura Ace 10 speed and 9 speed Compatibilitytexracer

I just upgraded to the new 7800 crankset and am using the current 9 speed DA7700 shifters, cassette, and rear derailleur. If anyone else is planning on doing this, it is necessary to use the new DA7800 front derailleur and DA7800 chain. Also, you must have a fairly new DA7700 9 speed cassette otherwise the 10 speed chain will not shift well. Overall this combination is excellent. I plan to eventually go all 10 speed once the prices go down and I have spare cash to get the other items.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking of trying the same setup with a 9sp Dura-Ace crank. It appears it will work fine.
