Campy Protons vs Zonda(3 posts)

Campy Protons vs ZondaKiwi Rider

Hello there.

I have a decision to make between Proton and Zonda Wheelsets. Are the Zondas better than the Protons or the other way round? The majority of races are time-trials but would the slight increase in rim depth be any advantage? Will be a race only sort of wheelset. Can't afford Eurus or Neutrons. I weigh 140lbs so rider weight shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks in advance

Zonda wheelset has 30mm rims and a Record based hub. They would be a better TT wheel then the Proton.I had Eurus wheels and they fly!
Uh, how about Velocity DeepVKerry Irons

A 30mm rim that would cost a couple $100 (US) less than the Campy product when built onto Record hubs.
