Friend gave me one; barely used. Anyone have any experience with it? Are the tubular ti rails inherently weak?

They have held up for me. However, I'm not generally hard on equipment, even though I'm also using a Flite TT Ti saddle on my hard tail mtb. No problem.

One thing I sort of don't like about it is that the leather is sueded, not smooth. This tends to hold moisture more and chafe a little more on longer rides. It also feels substantially firmer than the SLR saddle, which flexes a bit in the middle.

Mine has 56K miles on it. I weigh 180 lbs. (nm)Kerry Irons

my Flite TT rails snapped after around 6 months of use. I weigh around 175 lbs. Now using an SLR XP. No problems so far.
