What do you think of these wheels? Anyone have any personal experience with these?

had them built with campy hubs and for under 300 bucks 2 years ago they are as true as the day I got them and that was 5500 miles ago. I am going to order another pair of wheels from them this coming season.

Super, I have them build all my wheels! You can't go wrong with Excel.

At $295, you will be hard pressed to find a better wheelset. I weight 200 and have almost 12,000 miles on mine with Dura Ace hubs. Have had to true them very little (once or twice, nothing major). They are plenty light and roll great. Excel's build quality is excellent.

To illustrate, I accidentally backed over my front wheel in my car a few years back (oxygen deprivation at the end of a ride). Not a "direct" hit, but I ran over the rim and a small section of spokes. I expected the worst, but the wheel was still perfectly true.

Have fun
Mike

How about the Light Cirrus wheelset? Excel says these are for hills and/or light weight riders. I am about 150 pounds, so do you think these would be fairly troublefree for me or should I just stick to the standard Cirrus wheelset?
