|if you're not tired yet of my questions about wheels: are there issues with early Hugi 240 hubs (1999-2000) as compared to the current model ? I've done some search on rbr, all the information that I've seen is that current models may be a bit more quiet. As for quality of the internal stuff I've not seen much... and didn't see any review of this hub, besides on mtbreview.com, where opinions seem to be mixed.

|Not 100% sure, but I think the problem hubs as well as the loud ones (maybe one in the same?) have to do with hubs manufactured some years prior to 1999. I had a set of Hugi 240/OP's with Rev spokes built about 1999 or so. At that time everyone was talking about how loud the "older" hubs were as well as some mechanical failures that had been corrected in the "current" version(s) of the hub.
I had no problems whatsoever with the wheelset. The actual weight w/o skewers was 1552g.

|.......is some info on 240s in my FAQ. The info is for MTB hubs but I don't see why it wouldn't apply to road hubs too.
Mine make more noise when the ratchets are in need of more grease. 3-4 years now and 100% success.
