Can I use a 9 speed dura acr crankset with a Campy 10 drivetrain?
Do I need the Shimano FD, and will that work with Campy shifters?
Thanks

It will all work!Campy says no but I have seen it.
Keep your campy frt. der. It will work better with the ten speed chain. The 9 speed chainrings will work with 10 speed.

See post above. It's not advisable to use a Shimano crank on a Campy BB. The crank will very likely bottom out and be a loose fit. If you are using a Shimano BB it should work ok.

There is no way to use a shimano SPLINED DA 9 speed crank on a campy square taper BB anyway. The above discussion involves square taper JIS vs ISO
I didn't see any mention of a splined BBMel Erickson

As I recall Shimano had 9spd DuraAce with a square taper BB before they went to splined. I could be wrong. Anyway, that's what I was thinking of.
DA 9 speed always splined....nmRusty Coggs
