Question to ponder. I currently am running a 105 gruppo on my bike(Cannondale Caad 4). Overall I am very happy with my bike but I am noticing that with the D/A 7800 stuff out that deals abound on Shimano components. I can upgrade the components I want to Dura Ace for around $700 or Ultegra for around $400. So here is my question. Should I a) Go for the 7700 Dura Ace (The performance is worth the $$) b) Go for the Ultegra and save the $$ or c) Rise above my ego, Keep the 105?

It's not like you've got a top of the line, new frame just waiting for the latest and greatest. Unless your 105 stuff is starting to show its age, you're not going to notice significant improvements. You might better consider saving the cash for the next bike. Upgrades are seldom useful unless the frame is way "above" its current components, which is not the case for you.

I agree with Kerry. I would stay with the 105 and save for a new bike. What wheels and tires do you have now? What is the condition?

As a side note, performance wheels and tires can be purchased very cheap on EBAY.
