Chamois replacements?(5 posts)

Chamois replacements?metricEee

Does anyone know of a north American source for replacement pads for shorts? I've got several pairs of shorts that still have some life in them, but the pads are worn out. I have someone who can sew them in for me, so I don't want to send them away to someone who repairs shorts. (i.e. pay them for labor)

Same place they recycle used toilet paper. Just kidding, but if there are none readily known out there, I doubt if they exist. Seems to me a lot of work given the low cost of decent cycling shorts.

Go to http://www.kucharik.com/access.htm, they have both standard chamois and one piece moulded pads for cycling shorts.

Thanks for the info, do you have any experience using the pads (i.e. are the comfortable, durable etc...)

I have never purchased only the pads. I have found the Kucharik shorts to be very comfortable and durable. I have never worn out the pad in a pair of their shorts. Your backside may have a different opinion!
