Stem question...bigdeal

Hey all, have a question regarding stems. I used the stem rise/run chart on the Habanero site and figure that with an 80 degree 100cm stem on a bike with 73 degree Head Tube Angle, with 2cm of spacers below the stem is equivalent to a 90 cm stem. Is that right or am I way off?

An 80 degree stem only produces 7 degrees of addtional rise, compared to a tradtional 73 degree stem. A 100cm stem is "shortened" by less than 1mm due to this small angle, for all practical purposes, 80 degree stems are full length.

If you're trying to get rid of the 2cm of spacers, about the closet you're going to get to your original 10cm x 80 degree setup is with the following:

0cm spacers and 10cm x 90 degree stem.

Taking the head tube angle and the reduction in spacers into account, this should put the bar 0.42cm further out horizontally and 0.2cm lower vertically.
