|i'm building up some wonderful Cadence rims and
have about 3/4 final tension and would like to know
the best way to stress relieve the spokes from windup?
Usually, with my mtn. rims I would just set the hub
on it's side and press on opposite sides of the rim,
but with this wheelset, it seems like I might be warping
the rim when I do this. Anyone have alternative methods
for stress relieving? Many thanks in advance.

|puch down until you hear the spokes ping and no more. maybe this will be very quiet so listen carefully. if the rims have been built to handle with enough strength to handle being ridden then unless you really use a lot of force, they will be ok.
the link from the other poster was very good but i couldn't find any specific reference.
