Feedback please on IRD Cadence rimsbikeridah

Considering a wheelset built up with AmClassic hubs and DT revos. Can anyone with some miles on these rims offer feedback? Particularly interested in lateral stiffness and whether the eyelets "click" like OPs. btw- plan on having Mike from oddsandendos build them.

I have a wheelset built by Mike for over a year. Changed the rear to the Cadence rim this May. The rim is much better than the AC350 which developed cracks. The eyelets don't click (the OPs click inside the welded joint IMHO), they do have a noticeable joint (not welded), which takes some getting used to if you come from the OPs.

Lateral stiffness is not a function of the rim, the Cadence comes in an asym rear which allows for a more even tension between drive side and non drive side spokes.

I can only recommend Mike's build quality, he knows what he's doing. He'll try to talk you into Wheelsmith spokes, which is what I have. I use them as my everyday wheels at 175lbs no problems.
