CXP33 or Open Pro?(3 posts)

CXP33 or Open Pro?cipolini2b

I'm building up a set of training/backup race wheels for the winter. I've used open pros before, and they're fantastic. Last forever, and stay true. I've never used cxp33s. Are they more durable than open pros? I'm pretty sure they weigh more. Weight is not an issue here. Hubs are C-Record, 28hole, and I'm most likely going to get clinchers. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

My preference if you want an aero rim is the Ambrosio FSC28. Otherwise, the Excellight is a fantastic box section rim.

Mavic rims suck!
How much do you weigh?ColnagoFE

I have had both and I weigh around 200 lbs. The CXPs seems to be a stiffer wheel. I like the feel of them better. The only time I use my Open pros is for hill climb specific events these days. To be totally honest though the set I have now is built with Revs so that likely affects the stiffness too.
