|I ride a 2002 Trek 2200 with Ksyrium SL wheels, Pave tires, FSA carbon crank, Dura Ace cassette and chain, Speedplay X2 pedals, Aliante saddle and the rest is stock Bontrager and Ultegra components. Is it worth getting a 5500 or a 5900?|

|I'll try a more responsible answer...
Only you can tell whether it's 'worth' it!
If you got hold of a second hand 5500 or 5900 frameset and put all those very nice components on it, then I would say that was probably worth it, but getting a brand new complete bike... that's a big jump in the dosh department.
Like I said, that's up to you - test ride one and see if the jump to OCLV is worth the cash. No doubt that the 5500 is 'better' than the 2200; the value or worth of the betterment is a judgment call, at least for most of us without very deep pockets.

|Sounds worth it to me. With an OCLV 120 you'll have something between the 5200 and 5500, with better wheels. You'll enjoy the new ride.|

|To some people, $5K for a top line bike is worth it. For others, "I can get a bike for $100 at WallMart." Is a Lexus "worth it" over a Camry? Only you can decide.|| |
