If its high numbers and good he should do you right.
If not then.leave bad feed back, but give him a chance
before you take action.
I am going to send it back to him.the bull

He seems like a good guy.
Maybe I notice stuff that most people would not.
He offered to refund my cost of stem plus shipping to me.
I think he should pay me more because I will have to pay to ship it back to him.
I am going to send it back to him.filtersweep

Be happy he isn't blaming you! Sounds like he is making things right. I wouldn't complain too much...

why someone would want to air their dirty laundry in this forum is beyond me. ok, so the merchandise is crap. do you really need to post it here? normally, you would contact the guy, and resolve the problem. give the guy a chance before slamming him in a forum... what are you? 13 years of age?
How am I slamming him?the bull

Really you are an idiot.

grow up. when an ebay transaction goes awry, a normal person would email the seller, rather than post a stupid question to this forum, letting everyone in on your jaded deal. if the guy refused to refund your cash, that would be a fair enough reasonto post, but you hadn't even gotten that far.

who the hell cares about your ebay transaction?

just resolve it already
You're right _jim_!the bull

I am sorry!
Will you forgive me?
I don't think I can keep going on living my life with you sarcasaim and disapproval! I want the board and you (of course) to realize what an idot I have been!
I just want to be your friend, man!
You are like the cool guy here!
If we were meeting, in like, the parking lot of a club ride would you, like, come over and hang out with me while I was pumping my tires up!That way I would not have to be so alone here, man! Of course you could like, slap me on the ass and reward me for all my hard pulls I took during the ride, then we could go and eat some pizza afterwards, huh?
Why on earth would you want to buy a shaft?!Matno

That kind of stinks. It is pretty nice that he offered to refund your money though. Granted, I agree that he ought to cover your shipping as well, but I'd say you're still pretty lucky. Just send it back via cheap mail. Should be more than a couple of bucks.

Reminds me of the CAAD4 frame I bought last year that had a bent steerer on the fork. Not just bent, but bent enough that it wouldn't rotate at all when the headset was tightened. The guy said he didn't know about it (how that's possible, I'll never know - he claimed he hadn't ridden it in a couple of years) and offered to either give me a full refund for the whole thing, replace the fork with an Ouzo Comp his LBS had, or just send me a check for $100 to cover the fork. I opted for the $100, bought a 6 foot pipe from Home Depot (which I later returned) and used it to straighten the steerer (which fortunately was steel). In the end, I was happy, but I was sweating for a few days before I figured everything out. Nothing quite as disappointing as a purchase that doesn't turn out as it should...

Good luck with your stem!
Good job screwing Home Depot.gcbgcb

Do it every chance you get.

Aside from having a hard time finding anything there, I actually like Home Depot. They've come through for me many times. (But what's up with the "I help in all departments" aprons? NOBODY helps in ANY departments most of the time).

As for the pipe, it was returned exactly as I bought it, so I hardly think I was "screwing" them. We'll just call it "borrowing." :^)
