What can you tell me about a mid-90s Radius frame? Beautiful looking!

Am thinking of building as my "may crash" racing frame with used, cosmetically challenged DA, etc. Can't do Campy do to ergonomic problems.

Other possibility is a singe/fixed.

Thanks,
TF

...anything but Campy on such a classic frame. Especially beat up DA....yuck! Go slightly retro and put Campy with down tube shifters if you can't ride the ergo levers.
I can't race with downtube shifters...TFerguson

If it's Campy, it's SS/Fixed.

actually.. the radius is rather avant garde looking with it's fillet brazed tubes. campy is always better but DA will look good on her.
build that frame and you will ride it more than your "best" one.

you know it's light, fillet brazed..partially lugged. top of the line then.
ride their second, then, in food chain, vuelta and it's perfect: smooth in the rough and instant accelation in the sprint.
geometry is tight, stable and corners like a ferrari.
i wouldn't trash it though pinarellos are made to be raced hard.
what's the difference between Radius and Vuelta? nmQubeley

Believe: Radius= filet brazed, Vuelta= lugged. (nm)TFerguson

exactly. both get the radius tubeset from dedaciai, a varying diameter top and down tubes plus (at least in the vuelta) "squashed" seatstays in the seat lug almost like in the form of chainstays for stiffness.
radius frame is rare... vuelta is around. you could buy it at some american shops till august september.
Pulled it out of the box and unwrapped again today...TFerguson

and it looks welded to me. Am I wrong?

A teammate in college had a smoke chrome Pinarello TSX frame that was just gorgeous! Too bad he broadsided a car at 25-30mph and trashed the thing...
