|FD Cable routing question||pitt83|

|I have an annoying, but not critical problem. OK, I run a triple and love it. In fact, I need the triple since I race Mt. Washington (and other climbs) and train on hills for that race.
But, the damn cable for the FD pokes me in the calf when I'm in the granny. It bends outward since it comes up on the inside of the FD, goes through the bolt. When you pull it tight, you tweak the cable end outward where it can poke you.
Not critical, but quite annoying. Ideas? Cable too long?

|.....in this case a little shorter is better. Cut it at about 20mm above the securing bolt.|
|just bend it back the other way, behind the seat tube. nm||rufus|

|Don't have the digital camera here, I would take a pic of my triple setup (same as yours). My setup has actually even more leftover cable than yours.

|I've tried tucking it, bending it, etc. This thing has a mind of it's own on how it bends. It always ends up poking me.
I'll re-cable in my winter overhaul. I'll cut it shorter and, when I pull tension, pull from the outward side of the seat tube.
|...is that blood on the cable end cap from poking you? :) nm||divve|
