Truing Mavic Ksyriums SSC SL'sBanky

I bent my Ksyriums this weekend and I am not to happy about it. Does truing these type wheels require some special ability? Do I need to send them out or can a LBS do the job right? Any advice would be appreciated.

Shouldn't be a problem. Make small adjustments only the wheels respond more compared to wheels with normal spokes. Additionally, the spokes are locked and won't wind up much when you turn the nipples. If necessary slightly turn a nipple back the other way after an adjustment is made to realign the spoke you're working on.

If your rim is bent however don't even bother. It's a lost cause you'll have to replace the rim, or end up having way out of whack spoke tension and causing more havoc along the road.

Yes, if there's visible rim damage or a large wobble it's pretty useless trying to true it. The resulting unequal spoke tension will likely cause spoke breakage over time.

Its kind of a chinzy plastic thing, but it does work. You true them just like any other wheel. I had to tighten a spoke once on mine. If you can't get it with some minor truing adjustments, try taking it to a dealer.

yes I have the tool, so it is no different than a normal wheel as far as truing goes.
not really any different, but a little goes long ways (nm)B2
