Sidi Genius 4 Mega -- Is it too wide?(6 posts)

Sidi Genius 4 Mega -- Is it too wide?sokratikus
Oct 19, 2003 4:20 PM
I just purchased a Sidi Genius 4, size 46 regular. It felt on the snug, but OK in my apartment. Just concerned that once I go out and get some heat on my foot, it will be on the tight side.

Wanted to try the Mega, but I've heard a lot of people who thought they had wide feet, say that it was too wide. Any thoughts on the "wideness" of the Mega OR if the normal width version tends too loosen a bit after some use?

Help.

The Mega fits EE and EEE widths. My foot will not fit into a regular and fits perfectly in the Mega. I have EEE feet.

Hope this helps.
Depends - the foot platform is not that wide on MegaFez

My experience is the Sidi Mega foot platform is not that wide. However, there is a fair amount of extra Lorica upper material on top of the foot and toes that makes them seem extra wide, but I think they are not, since it is the width of the foot platform that really matters.

The velcro strap can get rid of some of the extra slop and keep your foot secure, but not constricted.

I wear an 11 D and tried the Mega. It was too loose. I've found that the regular width is just right. They also loosened up a bit with time.

I am roughly an 11D as well. Did you feel that your Sidis were "snug" when you first fit them?
