|CO2 Cartridges - Where to buy CHEAP??||dgangi|

|Where can I get cheap 16g threaded CO2 cartridges? I just bought a mini-inflator that uses the threaded cartridges and the prices of the cartridges are OUTRAGEOUS!
I only paid $10 for the inflator plus the cartridge, and I didn't think to check on the price of the cartridges before I bought the inflator. I figured if the cartridges cost $1/each, it would be worth it. But I am now finding the 16g threaded CO2 cartridges costing >$3 each, and that is a lot.
Maybe I should have bought a model that uses the 12g non-threaded cartridges???? Those can be found for <$1 each.

Check out the sporting goods section of stores that sell BB guns/pellet rifles etc.. Also hunting supply stores. I picked up a 8pk. of 16gm CO2, for $9.00.

|15 pack was dirt cheap $5-$6
Unless you are riding 32-35mm tires, 12g is good enough. It will put 90-95 Lbs in a 700X23. A 16g will put 130 Lbs.

|I purchased a case (24) of 12g for around $12.98 at Wallmart. I've never had problems using the 12g, gets you up to around 90-95 lbs for a 700x23 tire and I continue on with my ride with no problems.
I think the most difficult part was finding someone to wait on me in Wallmart as they keep the co2 under lock and key for some reason.

|Both of the posts for Walmart are in regards to 12g NON-THREADED CO2 containers. I need THREADED containers...either 12g or 16g. Does Walmart sell the threaded variation???

|Sorry, I meant to say KMart, not Walmart.
Bike Nashbar sells 3 packs of 16g threaded now on sale for $9.99 or 3 packs of 12g threaded for $4.99. Land ship only.
The reason we mentioned 12g non-threaded is you can buy them in bulk CHEAP as they are the same type used for BB, paint guns etc. You could always use 1 1/2 cartriges of 12g costing about $.50 per cartridge.
But answering your question-Nashbar has the cheapest prices on the threaded cartridges that I have found.
