|any people has experience with CXP30 rim?
Durability, ride quality, aero, etc. How does it compare to CXP33 or Open Pro?

|Sturdy rim that doesn't give up much in the way of durability. I have 32 hole CXP30's laced to some old Ultegra 600 hubs and would expect them to last a WHILE for my weight of 145lbs. The only problem with them is that they are heavy. They ride nicely but aren't any more or less aero compared to my Ultegra/Mavic Open pro wheels. Would make a great rim for training or cross. Forget about them for crits..
Mavic stopped producing the "cxp30" rim some time ago. I think the it's the same rim you will find on the Cosmic Elites (>2000 grams factory built), though.

|CXP30s are deep enough to be aero, strong enough that my 180# arse didn't fold wheels when they were laced 24/24 (radial/2x), and cheap enough (now) that you can build a good aero crit wheel out of them.
CXP30s are the forerunner of the Cosmic Elites, and they're spoked 20/20. The CXP33s are basically shallower versions of the CXP30s, so you need more spokes to get the same strength. OPs aren't even close.
If you want a bombproof training wheel, you can build them 28/32. If you want aero, I've done 24/24 and 24/28 with them.

|They're heavier than Anna Nicole Smith after a visit to Home Town Buffet and they're just as sturdy.|| |
