It just has rim eyelets, the American Classic does not, and is therefore a bit lighter (30 grams I think) but the IRD is stronger. They are both made be the same overseas company.

where/what price can you get it ?

Also, if they don't sell their rims individually, how come wheelbuilders like (is it oddsndendos ? don't remember) use them ??? I understand that they buy a large volume, but if there is a policy saying "we don't sell the rims without the full wheel", I would think everybody is subject to that policy.

It's a new policy with the 350 rims. They also never sold just the 420 rims. But the IRD's are around $45 each and IRD will sell to any brick and mortar bike shop, so even if your LBS doesn't normally deal with IRD, they will still sell them a pair of rims. Otherwise, Merry Sales in SC is an IRD distributor if you LBS deals with them.
