American Classic 350 wheels...Greg B

Is any one using these wheels as everyday wheels? Any issues? I weigh 170lbs and am considering the use of these wheels to reduce roating mass.

Any comments appreciated.

IMO, if you are gonna use them for training you should get the strongest build option they offer. This will mean more spokes of a thicker gauge.

I don't think they are a great choice for every day wheels.

Just my $.02

I've got a set of 350s which I used as race-only wheels this season, about 1000 miles on them. As race wheels they were fine, although I did have a rear hub bearing failure that AmClassic fixed (replaced the 4 sealed bearings, even though only one had seized) within a week. The problem I have with your question is that the only way to say definitively that they won't work as everyday wheels would be to have a set that failed. So while I can't say positively that they are not meant for everyday use, common sense would suggest that a sub-1400 gram wheel is not meant for the same day-in/day-out pounding as an 1800+ gram pair of Open Pros, for example. I wouldn't use them that way.
