Oct 1, 2003 6:42 AM | | i've got no experience with suntour, but i've got a used crankset from the mid-late 90's laying around, and i'm piecing together a rain bike. i don't know what model/groupo it is (worn too much to read). anyone ride suntour? pros/cons? should i just go buy some used campy off ebay to match the rest of the bike? any feedback appreciated. thanks

Oct 1, 2003 7:50 PM | | I still have Suntour components on two bikes I ride quite a bit, and it's fine. It doesn't shift quite as well as new Shimano stuff, but it's eight or 10 years old, too. I think what killed Suntour was Shimano's marketing, especially when it beat them to a workable index shifting system. |
