| Campy Record Carbon Cranks: Any experience with them? | lyleseven Sep 30, 2003 7:00 PM | | Can anyone give me any feedback on their experience with the carbon
Record cranks by Campy in terms of durability and performance compared to the standard ones. I'm making a list in case I win the lottery in the near future! |
| They are lighter and cost more. | the bull Oct 1, 2003 7:12 PM | | I dont feel any differance while riding them then my alloy ones.
My Ti Record 10 bike is alot lighter and it feels better then my steel 9 speed bike, but it takes alot more then cranks to make it feel that way.
Main reasons to get them:
They are light.
They are different.
They look cool.
Thats about it! |
| They have a high drool factor | MGS Oct 2, 2003 1:58 PM | | I have both carbon and alu Campy Record cranks.
I cannot tell the difference in use.
The carbon looks great with my carbon frame bike.
Just a note, I split my Colnago carbon cranks in half and the shop replaced them with the Campy Record. |
| Thanks | lyleseven Oct 2, 2003 6:45 PM | | thanks for the input; I think I will wait til they come down in price! Understnd the new ones may be less attractive and perhaps less stout. |
