|I am getting a Prince soon. The frame comes with a 31.0 setback carbon post. For fitting reasons I would like to use a non-setback post. Besides using a shim (made by USE), does anyone make a 31.0 non-setback post? Also, someone told me that Thomson makes a 30.9 sized post and using it should be o.k. Has anyone tried this or recommend using it? -John|

|My riding buddy recently bought a Prince(after years of him watching me ride mine LOL!!), and put a Thomson 30.9 post, in lieu of that carbon post. He likes it mainly b/c the Thomson makes it easier to adjust the tilt of the saddle, and it has less of a tendency to slip.
P.S. John, one thing that we both did, and it saved us alot of headaches, was to ditch that seatpost collar(the bolt is too short, and the threads strip out) that comes with the Prince, and replace it with the Campy seatpost collar!

|I have a Prince & definetly agre with the seat postcollar, although you can probably get the shop to give you a slightly longer bolt & the collar will be fine,
While the Prince post is not as easy to adjust as a Thompson, it's design won't let it slip at all.
