Rear Derailleur adjustment...(4 posts)

Rear Derailleur adjustment...loki_1

I assume (there i go again) but wanted to make sure before I made any changes... that this is a tension issue, corrected by the barrel adjuster or retensioning the cable.

Ultegra rear derailleur, 12-25 cassette
- in the large ring the chain makes noise in the 17, 19, 21, and 23 cogs.
- in the small ring, the chain makes noise in the 12, 13, 14, 15 cogs.

(dont crucify me if i got the sizes wrong)

Could this be indicative of other problems?

Thanks for any help.

The shifting is pretty crisp through all gears, no hesitation, just some noise in those cogs.
Try increasing the cable tension by loosening the barrel nm.divve

Maybe this is a dumb question...Have you tried trimming the front derailleur using the left shifter?
