Campy says it will not work(on there site) but they also say alot of things wont when they do.
The ring I want to use is the 53T.

There is no '9 speed crank or 10 speed crank' its exactly the same crank and inner ring with the fixing tabs of the outer ring machined 0.4mm closer on the 10 speed ring. I am using a Record Triple 10 crank with 9 speed chain, mech and cassette with absolutely no issues at all.
Likewise, 10s 53T ring will be fine on bull's 10s system. nmSpunout

Yes, by accident! It works just fine with a 9 speed chain and derailleurs.

I ordered a 9 speed Centaur double chainset last year and it came with a 10 speed 53 chainring. The ring is stamped C10 53/39, but does not have the coloured graphics of the new 10 speed chainrings.

Rob Sal's post is correct regarding the cranks themselves.
