Will a disc hub fit properly in a road/cross fork?
Yes, but...TFerguson

MTB and road hubs are both 100mm face to face, so they will fit in the fork.

The spoke flanges on a disk wheel are not evenly spaced since the one on the left has to be moved in to make room for the rotor. The result is a wheel that has to be dished like a rear wheel. Slightly weaker but probably of no consequense.

Whether rim brakes will fit depends on the rim and fork.

thanks. I'll be using Mavic MA3 rims which are pretty much standard rims. As for the brakes, Dia COmp cantilevers or XTR V brakes. not sure yet.

Thanks again! Will be buying a White Industries Front hub!
If your getting it new, why not a non-disk hub? (nm)TFerguson
