|Vetta V100 Problem||benasher|

|I have a Vetta V100 computer that conked out on a long ride yesterday. The computer seems to be OK but the speed transmitter (it's a wired model) seems to have gone on the fritz so it doesn't transmit signals. The wires are all conencted properly, and I have jiggled the position of the sensor and the magnet, but still no go. Any ideas before I get new parts or upgrade to a wireless transmitter (which I have on my other bike and which works great)?

|Even though the display may be working, the battery may be weakeneding enough that it can't register the signal from the pickup. I've seen this happen with several types of bike computers, mine & others. Hard wired doesn't prevent this.

|I have a Vetta V100 on my mtb and have had similiar problem. I even replaced the batteries which didn't help. What I eventually found to be the problem was moisture between the computer and the base. This was not water per se but "humidity". I solved this problem by wiping down the contacts on the base and the computer. After doing this the problem disappearred.|| |
