|Converting Ksyrium to a track wheel?||Qubeley|

|I have a Ksyrium back wheel that I don't use very often, I am just wondering is it possible to convert it into a track wheel by switch out the axle?
Can it be done? Does any manufacturer make a part ready for that job?

|Nope. For several reasons including:
1) Wrong spacing.
2) Wrong dish.
3) Inability to change spacing or dish.
The only wheels Mavic makes for the track are the Comete disc and the Io five spoke. Sadly, neither are anything approaching cheap.

|Surly does make a replacment for Shimano freehubs that allows you to run a track cog. But it probably does not work on the Kseriums, because its specifically machined as a replacment for SHIMANO (and identically designed) freehubs.
Like so many things from Surly, its also a solid chunk of steel, so it is fairly heavy. Its probably more of a novilty item made for fixed gear road riders than a real piece of track kit.
