Tired of breaking the chain to do some real cleaning. Does anyone have experience using the SRAM gold link (the newest one I guess)as a "quick link"?
Yes! I use them on three 9-sp Shimano chained bikes...nmdavet

Just installed one of these about 200 miles ago. So far, seems to work fine. I'm only 165 lbs. though, heavy weight mashers may want to be careful.

They're in use on our two mtn bikes and our two road bikes. No problems, and chain cleaning is now simple & easy. Worth all of the $6.00 I paid for each of them.
Connex works finetarwheel

I've been using a Connex/Wipperman link with a Campy 10 chain for over a year with no problems. This summer, I got another Connex link for my bike with Ultegra when I installed a new chain. I've been using it about a month, probably 500 miles, with no problems. The Connex link is very similar to SRAM. Initially I was gonna use a SRAM but after reading their warnings (on package) about not using with any other brand of chain, I decided to stick with Connex since I was familiar with it from using with my Campy chain.
