|I have a custom frame/fork being built that should be ready in a few weeks. I'm going to give Campy a try after being on DA for several years. It looks like 2004 Chorus is exactly the same as 2003 Record. My question is this - what will Campy do with the prices? Is it too early to tell?
If I could get what is effectively '03 Record for just a little more than current Chorus prices, then I may just wait and buy it as '04 Chorus. My speculation is that the new Chorus will simply be about the same price as '03 Record, and they'll just make '04 Record that much more expensive.
Timing is important, as I don't usually ride the road much past the first half of October. If there is no real money to be saved, then I'll go ahead with '03 Record so I can get the bike built up and ride it for the last month of the season. If there is a real opportunity to save some cash, I can just wait and build it up over the winter for next spring.
So, does anyone out in rbr-land know (or have a good idea) how '04 Record/Chorus pricing will compare to '03?
Thanks for your help.

|Not exactly the same but slightly downgraded less Ti parts and bolts here and there....oh and no carbon veneer insert for the shift lever. You can get 03 Record right now for less than $1000 from http://totalcycling.com/ if you're interested.
I'm not sure ragarding Chorus pricing but the Record will be from what I've heard only slightly more expensive with the carbon cranks being significantly less than the current ones.
