I'm trying to salvage an old Peugot who's steel rims warped when I was trying to true the wheel. I was thinking of replacing them with NB rims (Araya TX350 Road Rim) that are on sale for $9.99 from $19.99. Keeping in mind that this bike is for riding with my wife & taking to the store and I don't need Ksyrium wheels, does this idea sound reasonable? Tks in advance!
Thats three in a row!!!What do I win!the bull

Araya makes some okay rims.I had them on bmx bikes as a kid they seemed allright.
I am not sure how nice there road wheels are.
But for 20 bucks You can get Velocitys from Nashbar.
They normally sell for 50 bucks.
Thats more bang for your buck!
Plus they are more areo!:)
I only see XC ATB Velocity's at that price {: | (nm)czardonic

I just built a set of Araya rim with 36 holes for my beater. It hard to build but I guess it is fine for your purpose of general riding. It's cheap, no worry it gets stolen, you can't beat that.
