|I have a 170mm Strada now. Does the Shimano 600 fit on the same BB?|

|In a word, no. There is a slight difference in the tapers between the two manufacturers and you will be able to force the the crank too far up the spindle of the taper on the Campagnolo bottom bracket and as such you will not be able to get the crank tight enough. Pedal around on it long enough and the crank hole will enlarge and work loose while ruining the crank in the process and jeopardizing your life.|

|I have been running exactly this combo - old 600 cranks on Campy BB, for a couple of years. It fit very well, and did not bottom out or loosen. In fact, the Shimano cranks sat a little farther out than the Campy, though that could be because the Campy cranks were old and well-worn. I just replaced the BB with a cheap modern Shimano one last week, but because of race wear, not bad fit.
Newer components might differ, but the mid-80's vintage 600 cranks fit fine on my Campy axle.

|They may 'fit', but even though the tapers are the same 2*,the Campy taper starts and ends with a smaller dimension across the flats.. you may have a problem with sticking the cranks on a shimano BB.|

|Actually the mismatch is not that bad.It does work, and it's not life threatening. Many people have run the combination and never even realized the mismatch was there.Once done, don't go back the other way.Chainline may not be correct tho, depending on spindle length.|| |
