Limar F-107 helmet opinions....Lone Gunman

Sort of in the market for a new lid. Last 2 helmets were Giro, one inexplicably cracked at one of the vents and I superglued it to hold it together 'till I bought another. The next one, the pads will not stick to the foam after using a variety of glue compounds and replacing the velcro with super sticky velcro pads.

I like Giro, they fit my oval shaped head but they are falling apart too quickly for my liking(2 seasons, with season lasting about 8 months). Looking at Linar helmets, Performance has them on sale for 90clams, I have no chance of trying one on before buying as no LBS carries them. Anyone on the board have one and can compare it to Giro Eclipse or Boreas fit? I do not want to add padding to the sides to force fit the helmet like I have had to do in the past with a Bell helmet.

I've had an F 107 for about 2 years now, and I really like it. I didn't like the fit of the Pneumo, so I bought the Limar. I've had other Giros that fit well though. Just the other day the stickum for the velcro let go on the Limar. I couldn't find any houshold glue so I used the glue in a patch kit. So far so good.

One year and a couple of crashes and as held up really well. Find it easy to adjust, pads are coolmax and washable, it's cheaper, fits smaller than Giros I think, and is minimalist in design w/o sacrificing protection, vents well. Nothing I dislike. I will buy another

I bought my first road bike and helment in over 30 years this spring. I opted for the Limar 107 because it does not look like an oversized pot on your head like many others. With the exception of that Vinnie guy in the TDF the helmets look good. Almost forgot: it Vents well, stays snug, is light and can be custom fitted with ease. I even put the mini visor on mine. Got the carbon colour one. Matches my forks and seat stay. If your gonna ride; ride in stye.
