moving cleats on shoes(5 posts)

moving cleats on shoescbloom

I've been riding with my current cleats/shoes for a few months, and now I think I want to move my cleats forward a bit on the shoe. The problem is the cleats have dug into the shoe when I tightened them down, and I'm not sure if it's ok to move them a little bit. It seems to me a small move would really chew up the plastic there, but maybe this doesn't matter?
What kind of cleats and shoes?Spoiler

Maybe someone who has the same cleats and shoes can help.

Cleats & shoes are Shimano; shoes are the carbon-fiber R150

Your cleats aren't digging into your shoes to the point of damage. Move them to where ever you want. Just curious, but why do you want to move them forward? You'll end up pedalling more with your toes. Is that what you want?

I think they're just a bit too far back, towards the arch, I want to get them more on the ball of the foot. It's like a half centimeter move, but those little details make a big difference.
