I was wondering how you like it.
I am thinking of building a second backup bike and using this group for the build.
Will it be 10 speed in '04? Best to keep all bikes 9 or 10...nmSpunout

On a build up of a backup bike. I'm either going to piece it together off of EBAY or buy the groupo outright. The cheapest I've found for the groupo was $379 at hammerpilot.com

Have you found it cheaper anywhere else?? Paul

I'll get in touch with him. I'll probably buy the entire groupo once I sell some other bike stuff on EBAY to raise the funds. For some strange reason, my wife doesn't understand the need (want??) to have two road bikes at one time. Therefore, I must dump some stuff to raise some funds.

My current five EBAY sales (which expire tomorrow) are only up to about $75! That isn't going to get me too far. But,I'm confident. All the bidding usually happens in the last hour anyway.

Thanks. Paul
I have a friend who races on it. It is all very serviceable...Spunout

But you will miss the crispness of Chorus/Record.

The shifts are all accurate, but muddy. Probably because of the levers(non BB mechanism) and non-forged RD. Brake calipers are both double pivot, and lack adjustable pads.

I actually have Mirage hubs on my training wheels. After some TLC from my own wrenches, they are just fine. QRs are not top line, and that makes me nervous enough to see them go.
