Taking on H2O!!!(2 posts)

Taking on H2O!!!vidal

I just recently purchased a set of Velomax Orions last week. I took them out for their first spin today, and as you would expect it rained steadily for about 30 of 50 miles. When I got home, I noticed that their was water in the rear wheels rim - actually in the rim! It seems a lot of people have this problem - but is it normal or did I get a lemon. The front wheel coincidentally is bone dry. The only differnce was that I did not have the bolt on the presta valve for the rear. Any thoughts? Thanks

I get water in my sun venus rims, not my velocity rims, rarely my open pro's. Go figure?? Water can always find a way in...through the valve hole, nipple eyelets, going through a puddle, however. Personally, I don't worry about it. Its' not like you have a gallon in there, just a few ounces, right?? Just remove the tire and let the wheel drip dry. I don't think you got a lemon, but email or call Velomax for their response. That's what I would do.

Good luck. Paul
