installng TT Alpha Q fork ?moschika

how easy or hard is it to install on of these forks? i've been doing much of my own maintenance lately so i have some tools but will this require any special tools?

It's not all that difficult to install a fork but you must be careful and have some tools. For example, to cut the steerer, you can use a varity of tools including a fine tooth hacksaw or some sort of chop saw or dremel. I use a cut-off wheel mounted in my grinder. You will also need some way to install the headset lower crown race. Of course, it's always best to have the fork itself faced before installing the race. My suggestion is to find a reputable shop to face the fork and pound on the crown race. Once this is done, the only trick is planning your spacers and cutting the fork to proper length.

Go for it and take it slow.
