|My 2003 Bianchi Axis came with the Alex ALX 320 wheelset. I've already had to have the freehub repaired once (under warranty). Rode it just two days; it still isn't fixed (same problem, new sound).
Anyway, anybody know anything about this wheelset? Was I just unlucky and received a bad wheel or are these wheels lacking quality?

|My specialized Allez Elite came with the Alex 330, which is (i belive) the specialized version of the 320... anyways... I wrecked the rear wheel... and they replaced it with a 320... Which I broke the axel in two, just twisted it apart... then I I broke a spoke off the hub... the little metal tab the holds the spoke.. then they gave me credit to a diffrent wheel set... I had to have them trued all the time... they are horrid wheels... I had another problem But i can't seem to remeber what it was.... anyways they suck.|

|I have a pair of 320s. I ordered them specifically because they were light and really cheap actually. I am around 87kgs, and I ride like a mad man.
The wheels flex, the rear hub's internal springs creak a little but easily fixed by oiling the hubs. So far I use them for racing, sometimes they come out with me for fast spins. I have yet to encounter any breakages of any type. I have done around 5000km on them.
However, seeing that you got your wheels stock, I wonder whether we actually got the same pair of wheels (know what I am saying).
A lot of people use these wheelsets where I come from. So far, one guy tore the rims in half, went over some potholes. Other than that, nothing yet. Unless you weight a tonne, and benchpress a tonne as well, I would say you were unlucky.

|UPDATE: After a second greasing and about 150 miles on them, the wheels have been fine.|| |
