Any Ciclo Sport HAC-4 Plus users?darkvapor

I am looking into purchasing a HRM/ Cycle computer. I have seen many posts on the Polar 720/ 710 but have not seen much discussion of the Ciclosport model. Are there any users happy or un-happy with the Ciclo sport HAC4?

I've had a HAC-4 Plus for just shy of 2 months now. Overall, I'd have to say I'm satisfied with it but not in love with it. I prefer the top of the line Polar model.

My specific gripes:
1) the handlebar mount of the cadence version is very very weak, I had to reinforce the basic design with some creative zip tie use just to get the thing to stay on the handlebars (Note: the mount for the non-cadence version is much better)
2) the documentation is just 'okay' and there is virtually no documentation with the software
3) the power output is a mathematical estimate based on you and your bike's weight plus your current speed and grade
4) the download function is a little touchy... it usually takes me quite a few tries to get the computer to sit in it's cradle correctly and press both left hand buttons simultanously

On the plus side the software is actually very good, once you learn how to use it and the altimeter is very accurate. It gives you tonnes of data and has lot of options for how you view it and analyze it for training.

If I ever have to replace mine I'm going to go with something from Polar.

Thanks for the information. I will look into the Polar.
