I'm considering the new shimano pedals, and am wondering whether anybody has tried them and has a verdict. Shimano vs Look vs Time, and Ultegra vs Dura-Ace?

Thanks

You could even do a search to see how many times this has been discussed already. My quick synopsis would be that in function and weight, Shimano has caught up to Campy ProFit. Durability is an unanswered question as the Shimano pedals haven't been on the market very long. My Record ProFits are now in their 5th season with 36K miles on them. A bit scratched up, but operating just like new and super low maintenance (open them up at the end of each season and they are always whistle clean inside). Platform size, ease of exit/entry, resistance to false release, etc. seems to be comparable to Campy, though I've not heard of anyone with extensive experience on both.
