'04 Dura-ace compatability with '03 Dura-aceschills

All,

Does anybody know about the compatability of these two groups? Could I over time swap out componants? For example, if I need a new deralleur, could I buy the 10sp and keep the rest of my rig 9sp or would I need the new levers as well? I assume the front der. is no big deal? Same for cranks and bb as long as they are swapped at the same time. I imagine chains are not compatable, and I know that 9sp wheels can take 10sp cassettes although there will be slight overhang(whatever that means), but 10sp wheels can't take 9sp cassettes.

Thoughts?

The front derailleur of DA's 10sp is supposed to be narrower to work with the narrower chain. I do not know whether you would have any difficulty running 10sp with a 9sp front derailleur. There are some tech questions answered over at cyclingnews.com.

Does anyone know if Shimano is making a 10 speed Flitedeck computer for 2004 Dura-Ace?
