Campy Triple Chainring Question(2 posts)

Campy Triple Chainring Questionscottr

I was wondering if anybody had any experience with putting a 40T for a middle ring instead of the 42T. I have a customer that wants the 53 but does not want the 42 for the middle. So we would change it to a 53-40-30.

Thanks for any input.

I'm not a Campy expert but I can tell you that they have offered a Campy Racing T crank-set with 50-40-30 rings. I have one that we used on my wife's bike, bought it new in 2001. This crank-set was designed to run on 9-speed equipment. We had this set running with an Ultegra drive train and it worked well. I don't know if you can buy the triple 40t middle ring now or if it will fit your particular needs.
