Just wondering what people's opinions about oversized bar/stem are in the real word?

They are stiffer. That can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you ride. If I ride my bike out of the saddle sprinting, I can not flex my bars... any flex in the setup is the stem. That's good for a big powerful sprinter type like myself. Traditionally I have never worn gloves in my life... with these bars and stem (Deda Newton Stem, Deda Magic Bars) I need them. They are so stiff that they transfer road vibrations more than any other bar I have used. That's the trade-off. But over all, I am happy. They are everything I wanted to get out of my bars.. super stiff, strong, and light. I never wanted to get road dampening from my bars, so I wasn't disappointed.
